Multimedia participatory installation.

4 main video channels, 2 additional video channels for preview and programme content, 2 audio channels, projector, computer, iPad, 4 loudspeakers and 2 amplifiers.

Closed Circuit is an experimental transdisciplinary installation combining image, sound and public participation through a non-linear structure. Across multiple video channels, a cold, machine-like voice presents autopsy data alongside images of domestic interiors and confined spaces, with only one view opening onto the exterior.

Influenced by the spaces of confinement in Samuel Beckett’s The Lost Ones and his television works for Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR), the installation represents an early exploration of broadcast structures and controlled image regimes, later developed further in power · room.

The work was exhibited at Ars Electronica Garden Mexico City: The Garden of Uncertainty / El jardín de la incertidumbre (2021) and BECKETT-MEXICO [Encounter 01] at The Arts Forum, National Centre for the Arts, Mexico City (2021).
